I think so. Cnet was hot once. I remember in June I held cnet calls and about a week later they announced their ad campaign ... I remember precisely it was a total 100mm$$ and the stock took a hit.

Now, I should say I have seen a few of the cnet ads and imo they are awful. But, these ad agencies know who they are targeting so my opinion is irrelevant... nonetheless cnet is declining in my view...

If gnet wants to spend on ads, they need to get the agency that did the Ameritrade "lets light this candle"!! Ameritrade used to have the stupidest ads in the world... I bought Mercedes for 8 bucks etc. Then they changed agencies and wow!
