TigerPaw, I can't find one place in the Bible that says,

"Believe this book, and you will have many tax write-offs"

What I did find is in Luke, chapter 20, verses 22 through 25. Brief summary reads;

Tell us, is it against our Law to pay taxes, or not? To which Jesus replied, pay the government what belongs to them.

Look it up to read the full content.

TigerPaw, I should also tell you that there was a discussion going on that lead up to the comment you responded to. So, if you only read that comment, you probably wouldn't understand the whole context of the discussion.

TP, I am not disputing your reasoning but, would you pay taxes if they were not requested, enumerated and required by the law? Many people would not protest taxes so enthusiastically if it were known just where the taxes were spent by the taxing agencies and what portion was eaten up by bureaucratic ineptitude.
