This is probably old news,but I just love the company. They always deliver with a smile even when they can't hold the package one more minute. <g> Officials at UPS's Atlanta headquarters wouldn't talk about the IPO plans, citing the preoffering quiet period. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange on Friday, UPS says it is the "industry leader in the delivery of goods purchased over the Internet. We seek to position ourselves as an indispensable branded component of e-commerce." But as FDX has learned, one company's Internet feast can be another's famine.
