Some lab work...so Wart doesn't lose it :-)

Tiric: For the scan you'll also need price over 50 dMA and avg 5 d volume moving up
warthogAC: OK..
Tiric: the crossover occurring over 0 is important and above previous crossover will add alot of heat and timing
Tiric: I realize it's a tough scan to write but it will be worth it
warthogAC: only ABSC passed with those 2..
warthogAC: adding just one thing at a time makes it easier
Tiric: yep
warthogAC: the volume roc would have eliminated ABSC..
Tiric: CTIC looks good...I'm just kinda surfing thru charts
warthogAC: I am trying to take notes...
Tiric: 9/16 on CTIC is the head of a 3 dihs
Tiric: it's above 50 dma...up close on increased v and it's just 1/8 below the bo on that pattern
warthogAC: and a trendline cross in the 13 RSI is pending
Tiric: cool
Tiric: IDMC also looks watchable
warthogAC: i am new at hs..there is a mini on the 3d rsi also with a possible trendline cross there (ctic)
warthogAC: IDMC the SMI (13 25..) looks bearish.
Tiric: k
Tiric: Wow...SORC is definitely interesting
warthogAC: Look at ACF...
Tiric: ACF is kinda uncertain...that recent rebound looks like a technical bounce on an unsustainable uptrend...too many consecutive up days and it will likely dip back below the 50 dMA
warthogAC: ACF has the SMI cross..a RSI13 cross occurred near the start...perhaps a MACD type function to go with the RSI cross..
Tiric: SORC lost a short term ut line on Mon and looks like it wants to get it back. A move over that line again on good vol. and it'll jump a day or two more
warthogAC: or perhaps the RSI cross followed by a move above the 13dma...hmmmmm..
Tiric: ACF might go but it used a lot of upside since 9/9 to get back over the 50 dMA. It's better to see a move start from closer to the ma
warthogAC: hmmm...smi cross...with a MA cross...
Tiric: On 9/2 its low was more than 30% below the 50dma
warthogAC: perhaps a system test to determine the parameters of the SMIs....13,25,2 is from experience.. the 25 seems like a long period.
Tiric: Movement of an indicator on any period length and how you use it for timing are 2 different things. Timing down to the day can come out of any length depending on the particular aspect you are focused on. A break in the uptrend on the 233 dCCI is an excellent timing tool for exit just before a price drop. Anyone would consider a 233 d period on an indicator very long but the break on the 233 CCI will show up before a price trend breakdown and help you exit higher......better timing.
Tiric: for an MA cross...how about the rabbit component of the 34 dSMA of the lows over the 89 dSMA of the highs
warthogAC: rabbit component??? the Highs?
Tiric: The rabbit...it's in the manual
warthogAC: more reading...yikes..
Tiric: I think I had it in the LA manual
warthogAC: I'll check ...when nature calls ...
Tiric: It's a signal where the 5 dEMA of the close turns up while the 34 dSMA of the lows is above the 89 dSMA of the highs with the 34 and 89 components both rising
warthogAC: OK...I might have to save all this..
Tiric: Kinda like the CCI stuff where the 13 dCCI is over 100 and over the 3 dCCI and the 3 dCCI turns up
warthogAC: k
