You are "picking and choosing selectively", Sam. When we do that, we are behaving as a "God" ourselves. One cannot objectively read Paul without realizing he had thrown in his lot with Jesus. For Jesus to have been non-existent to Paul (as you seem to say) is really a strreettcch of scripture!
At times he quotes Jesus. He talks about Jesus' resurrection from the dead. He uses the resurrection as an illustration of being "risen with Christ." He gets after his colleagues and the prophets about how they treated Jesus.
Paul had been changed. Born again by Jesus. He had experienced the new birth.
Remember, Luke was Paul's travelling companion and as a follower of Jesus himself, he would not be writing lies about what happened to Paul in Acts. Paul verifies Luke's accounts interwined in his writings.
I see in another post you say in essence you were a "naive" Christian in your younger days?
Hmmmm.
