If I buy coms year 2001 options then can I get PALM shares????

I believe the answer is yes, provided you buy them before the Palm distribution. A call option gives you the right to buy a number of shares of COMS at a specific price up to a specific time. When the distribution occurs, your call option is changed to the right to buy the same number of the new COMS shares plus the corresponding number of Palm shares at the same original price of the call.
