Yep, Sep is the recent predominant low so that implies at least another step downward still ahead. But in 97, Dec was the low, so things could get go lower still. Last year is ancient history only the future matters. And the future holds the promise of:

More rising interest rates perhaps, a bubble market getting bubblier or worse, any over building due to Y2K soon to be history, earthquakes in Taiwan sure to be dampener if only for the short term, a strengthening yen-to-dollar ratio putting downward pressure on struggling Japan, and the infamous and well predicted mid-cycle pause.

So my two cents says the btb can continue to go lower for a time. tsk tsk
