Sierra sure "lucked-out" with Half-Life. I wonder where they would be without it this year? I guess they've got Blizzard as well. Wasn't there a rumor that GT would be purchased by another French company earlier this year? I seem to remember something about it.

I agree with the philosophy of not developing "B" titles, but at the same time....what does that mean? Do we develop "A" titles like HG2 that don't sell? Or BZ2? Does an "A" title just mean that more production money and marketing expense is poured into it?

At the same time, I agree that churning out a ton of cheap games to see what sticks doesn't work either. There are too many games already, and competition for space is high.

Perhaps this evening I can try and put together a listing of upcoming pc releases. Maybe I can get a better idea of how many "A" titles are in the pipe.
