Robert Barry the religious right needs to follow
The Great American Program which says that religious thought is free
and nobody can come up and impose one kind over another.

Motto is: " get on with the program guys ".

The religious right will never agree to the study of the History of Religious Thought, because most religious faith is not based on logic, but on faith.

As you imply, if kids were allowed to question religious doctrine, there would be too much commotion in school. Differences in religious views could also result in violence, as it
has many times in the past.

Our schools must be careful in introducing religious doctrine in a society of many different beliefs.
