Playing devils advocate here...

Like many of the EnP's now, I am a strong believer in 3D seismic. It is highly accurate and can supply lots of drill sites on good land. Surprisingly, that's why I am concerned about the companies that do seismic

The EnP's I am interested in already have their 3D done, and it has given them long lists of excellent prospects. Why would they need more seismic anytime soon?

EEX

they seem to change their mind about drilling targets about as often as Slider changes his stock pick du jour.

Selling all the NG onshore at the bottom has proved to be a poor choice. Now they are being forced into the corner of having to prove the reserves of their one wet gulf well.

Count me a buyer at under 3.

CRK hanging tough. Time to pick your horses once again.

Who do you like here for options? I'am more a put-seller than a call-buyer. I sold some OEI Feb 12.5's for $3 and some GLBL Mar 10's for $2 and looking for others. I especially like Feb expirations for a number of reasons. Feb is historically a better market time than Sep/Oct, still mid-winter and prior to any spring energy sell-off, still prior to scheduled OPEC meeting in Mar and, of course, Boom2000.
