Ditchdigger, Gassman2 makes some good points. But I'd point to the futures prices for Dec 99 and Jan 00 NG Contracts. They have stuck around $2.90/mcf and have not budged- about 20% higher than the October Futures Contract on the Merc.

Agreed NG prices may wander down into the low $2.20's over the next couple of weeks, but as heating season kicks in, let's see if the current levels of NG storage are sufficient to satisfy heating season demand. That will begin to dictate prices toward the end of October...
