(Nasdaq: MSPG) will begin CD-ROM distribution of MindSpring Internet Software 4.0, the most user-friendly software suite and package of client applications yet from MindSpring. MindSpring Internet Software 4.0's intuitive user interface and smart design make getting online and navigating the Internet a cinch. From the user interface, customers may launch to choice destinations Web browsing, chat, e-mail, instant messaging and account maintenance with just a simple click of a mouse.
A friendly audio guide talks customers through the installation process, step by step, to ensure a successful installation. And, MindSpring Internet Software 4.0 automatically updates itself, guaranteeing that customers always receive the latest features and functionality without a troublesome upgrade process.

The MindSpring Internet Software 4.0 interface features an illustrative navigation bar that groups customers' favorite online activities into four screens E-Mail, Chat, Web and Tweak to curtail the confusion and unnecessary navigation required with most Internet software. By clicking on the E-Mail screen, customers can check how many e-mail messages they have waiting for them in each mailbox, launch their e-mail client, make changes to their e-mail settings and activate MindSpring's proprietary Spaminator service -- all with just a simple click on the E-Mail screen.
From the Chat screen, customers can activate the Instant Messaging application to send real-time messages to friends using Exite PAL. The Chat screen also includes newsgroups, chat, and Net Events, featuring live content from Talk City's OnNow service. On the Tweak screen, customers may access help, set up additional mailboxes and update their MindSpring account information. The Web screen offers access to Web searching, MindSpring's "Message of the Day," and "Tips of the Day," MindSpring's own daily dose of Internet tips to help new users learn more about Internet functions, as well as a link to the MindSpring Personal Start Page (http://start.mindspring.com/).
The MindSpring Internet Software 4.0 interface also features access to a customizable MindSpring Personal Start Page. MindSpring allows users to tailor their Personal Start Page to deliver content that is most suited to their needs and interests. Automated set-up prompts ask customers to select the stock quotes, news, local weather, sports scores, entertainment information, and horoscopes that they want delivered, real-time, to their desktops. Customers may link to their MindSpring Personal Start Page from any screen of the MindSpring Internet Software 4.0 suite by clicking on MindSpring's familiar Springhead logo.
