The USB 2.0 Promoter Group, consisting of Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Lucent, Microsoft, NEC and Philips, will announce the final target speed of USB 2.0 at the USB 2.0 Developers Conference. Press briefings will follow a keynote address by Michael Slater, founder and principal analyst at MDR/Microprocessor Report. The announcement is part of a spec draft presentation to the 500-plus conference attendees.
