After about twenty news posts on the subject, Intel has finally listened to Ars and "scaled-back" the release of the 820 chipset as the Next Great Thing?. The News.Com story recounts the basic pitfalls that have beset the ill-borne chipset, including the ridiculous price tag and Intel's projected release going from 25% of the market to a mere 5%. Congratulations to the manufacturers who chose the Via alternative. -Torque
