7.6 equals 36 A-Bombs. This is what I read today - see my other note -- as it is, the Chinese newspaper/TV stations are saying (1) water system to industrail park is busted (2) no power (3) the harbors will need 6 months to repair and (4) for months there will be strong aftershocks and as I quoted the newspaper in my other note - "THEY CANNOT START OPERATION because if they are online and there is another major aftershocks (the estimate is for at least next month, there is VERY large chance of 5 and even 6 magnitude after shocks - they just had a 6.8 and 6.2 just this morning) - then ALL CHIPS ON THE PRODUCTION LINE ARE GONE" - than they have to recalibrate and restart and throw away all the chips online. Bottom line, manufacturing chip is a very delicate business (clean room and all that) and you don't do that when the ground is still moving and the ground is still moving -- they recorded over 1,500 aftershocks so far. What do you think is a 7.6 (upgraded to 7.7)? It is no kid's play. I am watching the stock but I am also going to use the proceed to help the island. Aside from the human tragedy, the fact remains, at least from all the Chinese news agencies that I have read so far, it will be quite a while before things will be back to normal.

My news in my previous post was old and the number of quakes is still going up. I just heard there were 7 quakes that are over 6.0 happened in the last two days in Taiwan so far. In total, there were three that were stronger than that of the 89 Loma Perita earthquake in the bay area, 2 were in the same strength and the other 2 were just a little bit smaller. Although the price of MU is keeping on going up, strangely I don't feel too happy this time. I am certainly feeling very sorry for the people in Taiwan. May be I should donate 10% of my gain to the red cross release fund to make me feel better.
