Finally got the Iiyama 17" in exchange for the Mitsubishi piece of crap. The Iiyama is SHARP. Before exchanging I called Iiyama and asked them to recommend their best product for text and they directed me to the shadow mask tube, NOT the aperture grill tube, which the Mitsubishi had. Maybe the former does do better text. I read an article that stated this once but the mag reviews never mention it, and seem to focus mostly on graphics. Anyway, a happy camper here, and cheers to Multiwave for great customer service too. Dave

Howard, thanks for the info. I have been gone for a few days, but have spent quite a while on the DSL and cable modem news groups. They are very active forums with a lot of great info. It looks like I have various choices. I am currently in the queue to get DSL. If I do get it, then they provide a Cisco 675 external router (for $50) that will do NAT for my network. If not then there appear to be several different hardware/software options. Thanks for your recommendation and input on the matter. Dan
