Elmer:

re >>With another possibly even larger earthquake expected to hit the island within the next 24 hours, AMD and its army of system builders face a bleak run up to the busy Christmas period.<<

This part of the article is terribly misleading. While aftershocks are easily predictable they are, by definition, smaller than the original event. A possibly larger earthquake is less likely on the same point of the fault than it would normally be due to the release of pressure in the major event of yesterday.

I verify all of the above to be true as Nostradamus told me so.

Regards,

Greg

Re <<<AMD mobo supply halted by Taiwan quake>>>

The supply may be halted but only temporarily. Most industrial parks are completely intact and the major problem right now is power. This afternoon the two major nuke facilities were inspected for any damage; if there is no significant damage, they will be cranked up immediately.

Length of delays....probably two weeks tops.

Elmer,

Re: "One of the industry's prime candidates to suffer in the wake of the
Taiwan quake turns out to be AMD."

I bet this is in Jerry's "very significant" losses speech for Q3.

Make It So,
