Larry, the guru's name is Frank Barbera and he is very good.

Unfortunately, he is also very professional (and smart <g>)and will never give directions. But, most of the time, when he uses words like "dramatic", the move is up.

btw, they are moving from kwhy to another station next week. I have to go to their web site to find out where they are going. Just hope it's a station I can get. Would sure hate to lose him.

SPECIAL POST TO ALL: I have been away from the Market much of this week and I will continue to be in and out for the next few days.

After playing catch up each night reading this thread for the last few days, I must admit the contributors to this thread continue to make be proud I started MDA. You guys have anted up great contributions as usual...<gg>

However, I would like to call attention to something I think we should all work at correcting. Something I think will improve this thread. Not often but on occasion someone uses a disparaging or insulting description or acronym to describe another investor or group of investors. I really do not think malice is the intent by those that place these descriptions or acronyms in their post, but often that is the result. Heck, I have been guilty myself. I have received several emails over the months from folks that took offense and I agree with them.

The latest addition to the thread today was LTIs "Long Term Idiots". The fact is it is possible to come up with insulting acronyms to describe us all. Let's stop using condescending or insulting descriptions or acronyms to categorize folks we think are either not paying close attention to the Market or are doing something we perceive as not very intelligent. The fact is we are all guilty of doing something dumb from time to time.

I am asking all that contribute to the MDA Thread to keep it cordial and respectful, not only for those that contribute to this thread, but also to all those that read this thread as well. MDA was the 20th most bookmarked thread on SI, as of the last update in June by SI Admin. That means thousands of SI members read this thread everyday, not to mention the many that read this thread that are not members.

I know the "brains" that populate this thread can find a better way to articulate their views without having to resort to disparaging or insulting descriptions or acronyms to make their points. Please, let's stop this practice now.

Let's continue to work at making MDA the best it can be. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation.

Regards,
LG
