Company Coming??? Is that me?

I've been out of gold stocks for a long time. But I've kept my eye on the ^xau index. I liked yesterday's activity!

One of the gold stocks I look at is AEM. I like it's chart more than the index. If we can get this stock to $6-7/8, then technically it looks like an easy ride to the $9-10 range.

Fundamentally, look at these numbers...

yahoo.marketguide.com

AEM really looks good vs. the industry in the areas for Growth Rates, Financial Strength, Profitability Ratios, and Management Effectiveness.

Some notes...

On profitability ratios - While Gross Margins (TTM) are far lower for AEM (20.96 vs. 35.57), all the other TTM ratios are better than the industry. This shows an impressive ability to do more with less.

On management effectiveness - Not only do the TTM ratios for AEM look better than the industry, they look better than AEM's own 5-year average. This looks like management is weathering the storm well - and poised to enjoy profitability.

On Growth Rates - Capital Spending (5 yr.) is 28.78% for AEM vs. 0.20% for the industry. Impressive, especially if that spending can bear fruit.

Happily Long AEM,
Duke
