<Motorola May Be Eyeing AMD Chip Plant to Make Apple Processors>

Oh boy, Steve Jobs' "Supercomputer On A Chip" is going to be made in Dresden!

Sorry, couldn't resist. I just love that phrase, though. After all, I've got a supercomputer underneath my television set, and it says "Nintendo 64" on it! You see, it all depends on what your definition of the word "supercomputer" is ...

Yougang Xiao:

re >>Profits disappeared because customers, who switched to Intel products in the first quarter when AMD couldn't make enough chips to meet demand, didn't return.<<

If amd could not ship slower chips faster will they stumble by shipping faster chips slower? Negotiating to make someone else's chip at Dresden is tantamount to Planning to Fail, IMO.

Production of Copper Athlon at Dresden isn't going to BEGIN until EARLY next Year ?

But the Grand Opening is next month ?
