yes, yours dsl is what my partner is installing in italy,here maybe in a century or two,naturally price per minute will be the key,but if you have to roam trough the"longonot ground station"(100 miles from Nairobi )out of order 35%of the time ,huges will be still the best by far.
You know iridium made us dream,than they came out whit $10 per minute,now down to 3$, still over $4000 a day if you want to use it for web surfing.Omnitel in italy for gsm data charges 5c x minute,50% cheaper than regular phone,that is why our hope now is extended gsm,globalstar have to recover billions of investement from relatively few people,let's see if they can compete gsm.
