REITs were much stronger than the market, though they tanked in the last 1/2 hour, while the market dove starting at 3:00 pm. The S&P 500 is under the 200 day moving average and 1/2% above the lowest price in the last 6 months. The Dow Industrials and the S&P 100 are within 1% of dropping below the 200 day moving average and 1-1/2% above the low for the last 5 months. So... we are on the verge of a correction or just another great buying opportunity. Another -1300 to -1700 tick reading within 1% on the S&P will most likely indicate a trading bottom. REITs may start looking like a good return soon, since the S&P 500 is now up less than 5% for the year, making a "trashy" 10-15% long term return look more appealing. Richard
