I've heard that story attributed to both Bernard Barouch (sp?) and Joe Kennedy Sr. And I think it was his shoe shine boy telling him to buy US Steel that triggered his selling.

I think we've heard these arguments before...today people use stocks as "savings accounts"; lots of 401K's etc, invested in stocks...it's a different world, structured differently. And as long asthe 401Ks continue, there will be $ to invest
