beach,
You are right. There is reason to be concerned; not just about CS but about all techs for a variety of reasons. The run-up to the new millennium will provide a rocky trading environment and regardless of your objectives you must be able to weather out the storms. Too many investors these days trade heavily on margin and way too many novice investors pull the trigger too early without first doing their own DD.

The short term investor sentiment on CS is turning sour. I know for Tim and the crew this does not matter, because their objectives are longer term, and short-term price fluctuations will not make them deviate from their plan. However, that just isn't the case for every CS investor. The recent upward momentum has lured many into paying very near the top of the recent run to $19 1/2. Now the stock is nearly 20% in their faces in the midst of a plethora of good news.

I would be concerned after seeing statements from CS management like this....
....Cabletron executives said the company expects that revenue will be "flat to slightly down" over the next two quarters.

With earnings estimates raised for CS, it will be tougher than ever for them to shine on Wall St.

IMHO, this current slide could continue. Sorry to rain on the CS parade, but that's my 0.02
