OT: MSWord

I would think it's a conspiracy (by Microsoft against Apple) that I have a hard time reading MSWord docs that Mac folks send to me on my PC, but I know it's not because...

It's not that easy, or at least it seems (pun intended)... Even between Windows versions of MSWord, docs don't translate seamlessly. Office 97 I think is the prevalent version out there on Windows (95/NT), so perhaps Office 98 or 2000 it is seamless.

<rant> As an aside and definitely not to pick on you Michelle, but shouldn't someone (MS <Ha!> or Apple) let people know how simple this is!?! I mean, it's a trivial or non-issue, yet it's holding up the purchase of an Apple product. I know Apple tries to get the word out there, but these questions keep getting asked. </rant>

Thx Dirk, yes Aapl should publicize this... it is more important with the powerbooks, a lot of people have MS machines at home and want a pb. Aapl ads are great but they are all image and at this stage I think they need some factual info in there since they are reaching beyond the apple fanatics...

Sorry to see aapl get dragged down my mot poor management... oh well
