Dear poor0turkey: 1. You earned the name buddy. 2. I alluded to the overall military, which included expanding the navy, building new subs, funding new weapons systems, increasing the numbers of troops, deploying new missile systems in Europe despite the cries of protests from mushy heads like yourself,etc., etc., etc., not only SDI. Please learn to to read. 3. Our economy runs by itself because it is not a central state run enterprise dummy. What killed the Soviet economy was having the government pick winners and losers. This is the same sort of thing mushy heads like yourself want to do to our economy. 4. Read the Constitution turkey. Only Congress has the power of the purse strings. And FACT is tax revenues increased massively during the Reagan years. The Dem Congress spent every penny AND MORE. That's here the deficits came from. Clinton did not balance the budget, the Republican Congress has. 5. Reagan hired Greenspan and Clinton deserves no credit for that. 6. I have no prejudice against gays but I also don't think military readiness should be sacrificed for social engineering. 7. I live in a rural area and I don't know anyone rich or poor who's been denied access to healthcare. I doubt you do either. This is just sheer baloney and an excuse to turn over a large part of the economy to the feds. See #3 above. 8. Your position on China is just plain moronic. 9. Th Republican Congress has been responsible for downsizing of the government. 10. Clinton deserves little or no credit for the economy. Sorry, them's the facts. There's just very little a President, any President, can do absent some large initiative such as Reagan style tax cuts to influence the general health of the economy. Truth is the Repub Congress has held Bubba's bad policy such as the "stimulus package" and other nutty ideas from being allowed to hurt the economy. 11. I am not advocating war with China or N. Korea. I'm also against the Clinton policy of appeasement. Couldn't have been more clear. Your post was not intelligent but a simple regurgitation of WH spin. As for your wondering about your given moniker poor0turkey, how laughable that you should be offended. In addition to the fact that it is a factually correct assessment, how can someone whose first post to me was an unsolicited insult be offended to receive back in kind?
