Thank you Mike, so may be it is possible to do some backtesting with some programming abilities. I'm curious to know if people from this thread are doing some backtesting on their TA ideas. This is probably a good way to know the risks hidden in your TA ideas. Also it shows it is very difficult to obtain strategies which are not over adapted to historical data and beat the market. Nowadays a lot of people are using TA in order to identify supports trends and so on, but having successful trading system is another story. TATRADER is one of the very few to have this ability and he constantly surprise me because he has very few picks at a time and does not need to generate momentum in order to validate his picks. Anyway IMHO TA, even if not accurate, is good for everybody because it cools down emotions and may prevent people from being story believers...
