Gottfried and threaders, Sorry about the previous spreadsheet
screw up. Following is the tabulation of 1996
to 1999 AMAT Orders, Shipment, BTB, IBD Price Range, IBD R/S,
and IBD Industry Price Ranking.

The positive is that when comparing AMAT with last years Aug
and Sept BTB of .57 the percentage increase is great at 1.08
BTB. However, the Orders, Shipments, and BTB is down from
July and Aug. 1997. IMO, Thursday, today, the market will
now look at AMAT and either see the glass half full or half
empty. However, since we are sure that the market saw this
data last week and it did not sell off we may have a positive
reaction. We will just have to wait and see.

Tito, Gottfried, John L. and Big Bucks, so you have any
reaction to the BTB and foreward projections.

Naturally, the above is only my opinions and the data which I
have reviewed from the Dorsey Wright site, IBD and SEMI
sites. Readers are reminded the old saving, "caveat emptor
(buyer/reader beware)."

Paul
