Petz,

"This list doesn't include several other launch targeted Coppermine CPUs that are intended to totally replace the current Katmai P3 CPUs at speeds of 500, 550, and 600MHz by running at a 100MHz front side bus speed."

-- These lines are from his report.

"1. Why doesn't he list the part numbers for the 100 MHz bus models (500E, 550E, 600E)? Is it because he is just guessing?"

-- He is not guessing. He observed the same thing you did.

"2. Why is there no 650E and 700E? With the RAMBUS situation the way it is, these are the only parts that will give Athlon 650 and 700 a run for the money."

-- I had exactly the same questions about the list. If the list is true, then I wonder why PIII650E and PIII700E are not in the launch list. May be they are having problems with PLL circuitry on the chip (650E and 700E require higher clock multipliers). This is just my WAG in the absence of any other info. May be PB can shed some light on these missing speed grades.

Regards,
Goutama
