Amy - Re: "Intel Corp, Micron Technology Inc and Texas Instruments Inc outsourced none of its production to Taiwan, Merrill Lynch said. "

Directly, Intel doesn't have a problem.

Indirectly, Intel has a BIG PROBLEM.

If Taiwan MotherBoard and Chip Set manufacturers have a major hiccup in their production, the lack of availability of these products will crimp demand for Intel CPUs - and even chip sets !

I don't think Intel can instantaneously RAMP up their own Mother Board production - which I think is done in Malaysia and perhaps other sites.
