INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 1999--Brightpoint, Inc.
(NASDAQ:CELL) announced today that its Brazilian subsidiary,
Brightpoint do Brasil Ltda., has entered into an agreement with Nextel
Telecomunicaoes Ltda., an affiliate of Nextel Communications, Inc.
(NASDAQ:NXTL). Under the agreement, Brightpoint will assist Nextel in
managing its accessories program for the Direct and Indirect Channels.
Brightpoint will provide services such as product packaging, sales and
marketing activities focused on Nextel accessories, beginning in Sao
Paulo metro area, and in the future, in the Rio de Janiero metro area.
