Yes, I think that's why he made the comment about an receiving an offer within the realm of possibility. It'd be quite a historical precedent for a company with Q's market cap to receive such a premium. However, never say never: these things ARE evolving--look at Cisco's 7BB buyout of puny Cerent before that company was even public. Maybe somebody up high in one of the megacaps has "jungle fever" <g>
Re: Linkabit sale, I think it only netted him about 25MM ("merely rich"). He'd probably be looking for something approaching a thousand-bagger (Bill Gates' respectable cousin) from there on a Q sale.
