ESS Begins Volume Shipments of DVD Solution
FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- ESS Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESST) today announced that it has begun volume production shipments of its Swan(TM) DVD solution to several OEMs.
The Swan(TM) DVD solution is currently ramping production quantities to DVD player OEM's, including Sony, Acer, Raite, Sampo, Labway and Diotech in Taiwan; Apex, Shanghai GuangDian Group (Sony), Panda, QiSheng, and Wyan in China. These Swan(TM) based DVD players will target retail channels worldwide.

About the Swan(TM) DVD Solution
ESS's Swan(TM) DVD solution is a highly integrated, cost-effective DVD Player solution with a new level of digital video and audio performance. It is based on ESS's Programmable Multimedia Processor (PMP) core architecture, which combines a 32-bit RISC CPU and a 64-bit Video Processor Engine.
