Spent some time listening to the AGM that was held for Barrick last May. Link is barrick.com
Click on webcast. Some interesting comments about their Pascua property-they believe that it is the world's greatest undeveloped gold property-looks of room for expanation into nearby breccia zones.... After listening to the AGM-it seems unthinkable that Barrick won't make a play for Lipangue/Lobo. Its in their corporate nature. They simply can't allow world class gold properties to slip by...

They outlined what they are looking for in acquistions:

The property must:
1)Contain Gold!
2)Be located in a country with a stable government and good political climate for mining.
3)The ore must be high grade/low cost to produce
4)Most have enormous potential to be expanded
5)Must be the potential to generate substational earnings/cash flow for Barrick

I think Lipangue/Lobo fits the bill! The question is-when will Barrick/or others make their move? First problem is the NDA's. Nothing is going to happen until they are dropped. When they are dropped after some sort of JV with a Major/Fund is annouced-will a Major have enough information to seek a take-over? Will they wait until we receive results from the next drill program to make their more or is their enough information to take out Medinah now? The longer they wait-the more they will have to pay.....Cheers.
