Is Qcom planning a share buy back?
187,883shs were outstanding for diluted earnings computation last quarter per qcom press release on earnings. Qcom has indicated that they want to increase share authorization to 300,000shs at next annual meeting. If the company plans to do a two for one split without another vote, I think they will have to do a share buy back. This would provide a use of funds for handset division sale. Also, options outstanding and need for new options should go down in the future as the number of employees will be reduced. Comments?
