I got your point, did you(and & all) catch mine?

When the government legislates (via the permiting process) older mines, older technology, longer transportation distances, poorer amounts of coal per ton, many of the "productivity gains of technology" are lost with the stroke of a pen. With them are lost jobs and the competative advantage of this brave new world, which has fueled "the best economy of all time".

Ron's "buddies"(hopefully using the term loosely) in Washington are going to kill the economy through trying to save the environment, or us from ourselves.

The Clinton administration is stuck between the rock & the hard place. A great deal of this "best economy of all times" has been fueled not only by an increased technology but also by a generaly "bussiness friendly" stance form our government. When that stance is changed profits will quickly erode and the hot stock market can only follow.
