IMO, the risk in the IIX is actually less than that of the DOW and the NDX. The reason is that it has been crushed over the last 3 months. AOL (the leader of the group) adjusted 57% off of it's high. Some of the 2nd and 3rd tier inuts dropped over 75%. I'd say the downside in holding an internet stock right now is probably less than holding CSCO, INTC, MSFT, DELL, etc. as they have yet to see a big correction.
