Congratulations. I'm happy for you. Mehrdad... Do you think the cablemodem business model is different than V.90??? The margins are in the head-ends. If you'd look you might find an interesting little gem in there...one that you could use to bolster your position. ;-) Hint: Stop focusing on COMS's/PALM's ability to succeed in selling consumer widgets. These are low margin businesses with little barrier to entry. Furthermore companies like SOny, Panasonic, JVC, will take over that space going forward...it's not a good business model. Rather look at how COMS can succeed in the infrastruture... I think this is where COMS is looking to go...and as I said, there is some nacent growth that can be pointed to if you go look for it.

Be careful not to misinterpret me. I wasn't saying that no one was using 3 Com cable modems I just haven't seen them. Perhaps I can get some help me to gather some information. Do you know what percentage of cable subscribers Time Warner and TCI have? Nation wide what percentage of cable companie are offering cable modems? What percentage of their cable customers have already have cable modems? I think 3 Com can make money in the cable modem and DSL markets but it is not a sure thing. If 3 Com executes well they could go to $50 a share in the next year I am leary that it could drop back to $20 again after it does.
