. . . On the Market. . . . Rock, the fact that so MUCH money is sitting side by side on the sidelines is what concerns me most. . . .there has not been more than one big volume strong day since Labor Day. . . I doubt if motivation is Y2K. . .perhaps it is the fear of an October sell-off. . .I don't know. But consider this. We bought high-techs like mad on March 23, in anticipation of the major earnings week for the biggest high-techers. . watched them peak and sold them off by April 15. . .we then re-loaded 3 months later on June 23rd and sold off by July 15. . . Consequently, we made some terrific gains. . by these moves. . . Guess what, folks!! Look at your calendar. Yup. . . today is September 23 ahead of the 3rd quarter earnings season. . . which seems to mature earlier all the time. I am watching Intel walked down but would prefer to buy it under 75. I highly doubt there will be any October decline PRIOR to October 13 or so. . . and there could be one in the twenties. . .as historically this is the time the market likes to make a dramatic correction. . . but those holding from September through November last year came out of the big drop smelling like a rose. The ones that lost were those that flinched. And as some have begun to hypothesize. . . because so many are expecting a massive sell-off in October. . . the street will win big if there isn't one. And the way this thing has been manipulated. . .my money is on the street. Rande Is
