Fibre Channel Industry Association Announces New Board of Directors

FCIA Is Leading the Industry To Define Fibre Channel Solutions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 1999--The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA), a
prestigious organization for the advancement of Fibre Channel technology and Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions,
Thursday announced its new board of directors.

The FCIA recently merged from two former associations, the Fibre Channel Community and the Fibre Channel Association on Aug. 18, 1999.

The new board members and officers are:

``We are confident the FCIA will lead Fibre Channel solutions successfully into the new millennium,' stated Michael Fitzpatrick, FCIA board chairman. ``The

The FCIA's near-term goals include the development of end-user forums, implementation of a technology road map, achieving interoperability and
