That's because AG knows darn well that this surplus can not be counted up on once the stock market tanks. I think his advice is sound - better not call a large group of guests for dinner by counting the chickens before they are hatched.

Believe it or not, I am with Slick on this issue (though I am not sure about his motives.) I think the republicans really lost touch with the people. In good times (at least that is how it appears for a good majority) many folks will be in a generous mood of giving, not asking. Slick reads people well while Republicans did another blunder by shooting themselves in the foot. IMO.
