Robert Barry, all sides think their side is important: that is why I say live and let live.
Take care of your own soul first.
Let God worry about the rest.

Teach all.

Let parents decide what is right for their children,

TA

<< The problem with creationism is that it is based on faith, and the vast majority of the atheistic evolutionists want to convince those with faith that they are wrong. >>

A person can believe in creationism and evolution. I am not totally against the theory of creationism, and am not an atheist. But, I do take issue with creationism based on
Genesis.

I wouldn't object to the theory of creationism and religion(s) taught and discussed in public schools, but I would be opposed to having the bible taught in school as if it was
factual, as I think that the American public would be opposed to any ONE religion preached in public schools as the only religion.

All religions can't be correct, unless there are many gods. If there is only one god, aren't most of the faithful wrong?

<< Why is it so important to them? >>

I guess you could think that both sides consider this issue important to them? Do you feel that only the creationists can view this topic as important?

This is a strange post coming from you, as you are the one who posted to me that there is nothing after death, that's it, the end. I have no argument with what you said in this last post. In all honesty, I think, and I have said this before, that there is ONE God, we're all just arguing semantics over it. Look at the strong similarities so many religions share. BUT, I made my post that you responded to merely because I have noted that so many posters won't rest until they get the believers to say, "OK, you're right, there is no God", and because I've seen many posts that automatically assume evolution is the way humankind came into being without a doubt and has evolved from some primate. The Ape theory is far from fool proof, and yet is treated as though it IS the way.
