And maybe Bilow.). I would point out that I am not short rmbs and, in fact, have never shorted a stock in my life although I have a few times bought puts and sold calls but never rmbs. I have been long rmbs a number of times and made a lot of $$ on rmbs in middle of 1997 and would have made more if my Dean Witter broker had not been so negative on it. (He had a sudden revelation on rmbs later when Morgan Stanley, the rmbs underwriter and DW merged.) I was long rmbs as recently as Sept 7. RE: <The market has been able to react pretty efficiently to previous bad news, but all the recent FUD can't seem to budge this stock.> If you consider my postings to be FUD I would point out to you that I have 30 years experience in this business and most of it applies very closely to technical areas that deal with microprocessors and their use of memory. Of course many people with similiar backgrounds come to the opposite conclusion that I have come to regarding Rambus and I, myself, held the opposite position until relatively recently. But I have given a lot of thought to all this and I resent it being dismissed as FUD. I would ask you to re-examine your logic on this issue and ask yourself if it could be possible that someone holds different views from you but has no dishonorable reasons for holding them.
