ok, everyone read the story in which BS excerpt was pulled...you'll find it's not quite that simple... here's another view from that same story:
Peck argued that even when electricity is fully restored to the two key
semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan, returning to normal is not as
simple as throwing on a switch and resuming production. Wafer
production is a delicate process, and the earthquake probably threw off
critical alignments. It could well take weeks before manufacturing quality
is up to par, Peck said.
