There is bound to be some heavy downward pressure on Au at the end of the month, when gold contracts have to paid off or rolled over. I?m waiting to see if the price will hold up to the almost certain assault on it before taking the recent rise too seriously.

Hi Rarebird; Re that Ford wage hike... Up here in Seattle the "lazy B" (i.e. BA) just made its machinists very happy. They ended up with the highest yes vote on a contract ever.

My theory is that the Boeing economists understand the economy better than the Boeing machinists.
