No, you are postulating on your own here. QC's stuff at it's very basic understanding is a modem. Nothing more. they have some parts and applicaitons which present data that they got over this modem, but their basic claim to fame here (MSM3000) is a modem.

what I am saying is that in the future, there may not be a pentium in everything and the basic applicance may not have an extensive OS. It may have a simple OS, but still prove to be very useful....i.e. Palm OS is so very simple. It is really not a very good OS from a software systems engineer point of veiw, but it functions and it presents alot of useful data.

Perhpas in the future, you will have net computers which do not have an OS at all. they just talk to giant servers which have giant OS's in them and provide data warehousing in them. they would not need any more processor in them than the ARM cpu in the MSM3000.
