Don't know the context of his comment. By the way neither Gates nor Balmer receive options. They are rich enough with the number of shares they own. Which makes the two probably the most underpaid executives in the world, as far as compensation goes.

I don't think Balmer's a moron, and he doesn't get options, but that's no way to create/enhance shareholder value. Why would he say that, even if he believes it? I guess we'll have to wait for the full reports later today.
