ok..fair enough then let me ask you this....do you think it is possible for companies invloved in a deal notify the specialist to keep the stock in a certain trading range so the stock doesn't run up to high/

lets just use cs for example....lets say with all the block buying that we have seen in the last few weeks the stock ran to the mid 20's ....now lets say the buyout price was in the high 20's or low 30's....now that wouldn't be much of a premium now would it....so what kind of problem does this cause fot the companies involved here?...imo it causes a lot of potential problems....ie...shareholder lawsuits...shareholder disapporval....potential for the deal to fall apart....now if the stock is held down like i believe fore and xyln were and then the shareholders get a 10 point premium then everyone is happy.
