Don't be so cheerful, REB, my friend.

George Patton is dead, this time for real.

Who is going to slap around the shell-shocked traders and show the world the meaning of "tough trading" with this hero gone?

'Tis a sad day. A sad, sad day.

Oh yeah, I heard Babs dance around the questions..."what is your opinion of bill clinton?" "Oh I think Hilary is so well-spoken..." "What do you think of Bill's misdeeds against her?" "I think Hillary would make a great Senator!"...

The problem with Babs (as with most Hollywood types) is that she is way out of touch with the real world. Some dreamweaver like Clinton tells her, "yeah, we're solving hunger, the economy's never been better, we're getting affordable healthcare for older people and we've achieved world peace." Babs, too insulated to know any better, thinks, "wow, what a great president." If Babs visited a local KFC or Burger King and started asking questions, she would learn, the hard way, that the economy isn't so great for the lower class. If Babs visited an old folks home, she'd learn that the affordable healthcare is far from the truth. And she'd hear about how family-built businesses are being virtually seized by the government, due to estate taxes. And if Babs watched CNN once in awhile, CNN themselves said this week that there are currently 22 separate military actions ongoing in the world today (Babs prolly thought the stuff in Kosovo was it...even more amazing is she is probably convinced that the conflict between the Christian Serbs and the Islamic Kosovars is hunky-dory too). Babs thinks taxes are something her team of CPAs writes a check for...she has no concept of money. Nor does she have any concept of what the average American goes through everyday. So how in the hell does she think she knows so much about politics and what is good for the U.S.? Yeah, she thought she knew a lot about stocks too...hehe, margin call Babs???

As I said earlier, if the Hollywood gang is behind someone, the US public should beware...these people forgot what it is like to work everyday and write a check every April 15 (or worse, file quarterlies). That's what made me laugh the hardest about Babs' interview yesterday...she said Bill and Hillary are what America needs...problem is, Babs has no clue what it is like to be a common American.
