Hi Jim,

Yes the Houses have moved away from technique such as loud downgrades like you say. They no longer have to show their hand as much due to the amount of stock awash in their inventories today. This stock is a tremendous weapon in holding down or propelling forward certain stocks. One guy asked me why would you want to hold back something you own. Many times due to certain positions taken some Houses are not as liquid as they want to be in order to take advantage of the different situations they are confronted with and they want more time. Solution - go to your inventory and pull out 20 or 30 million shares of that stock and work with another House and simply trade over the average daily volume within 1/8 and 1/16 and it will be hard for the public to move the stock. However one house in and of itself cannot prevent movement either way if there is unbelievable pressure on the stock.
